PRECISION GRINDING AND MACHINING Included in our inventory of modern machinery is specialized grinding equipment capable of machining large industrial crankshafts, camshafts and pump shafts to factory specifications in close tolerance. Our new crankshaft grinders can machine maximum lengths to 119" with a maximum stroke of 14". The camshaft grinder is capable of handling camshafts with a maximum length of 124". Big State Grinding also offers close tolerance align boring services for virtually any size engine block, as well as cylinder boring and sleeving for a wide range of industrial applications. Our Rottler Mill is capable of surfacing, counterboring, and machining lower packing areas of engine blocks like the L7042 Waukesha, as well as 8G825 Superiors and 399 Caterpillars. Complete connecting rod reconditioning services are another specialty, including "serrated" cut rods, including L7042 Waukesha & 398/399 Caterpillar rods.
